Fee-Help

In 2005 the Australian Government introduced a loan system for students at approved private higher education institutions such as BCV.  These students must be Australian Citizens and Permanent Residents.  The scheme is called FEE-HELP. Interested applicants must fill out a specific government form available from BCV at the commencement of their course and then have the option of incurring a loan debt up to $50,000 or paying their fees themselves.  Loan repayments required depend upon the individual student's taxable income level.  For instance, no fee repayments are required for those with taxable incomes that fall below $39,000 p.a.  Full details can be found on the following website: www.goingtouni.gov.au.  Application forms and information booklets are available from the College Dean of Studies and her assistant.

The Government already provides income support to BCV students through Youth Allowance, Abstudy and Austudy (see Government Financial Assistance below).
