BCV In The City
Want to study at Bible College but worried that we're too far away? If you live or work around the Melbourne CBD area, BCV In The City is the perfect solution. BCV In The City is a Thursday evening class which is open to all, and conveniently located in Swanston Street in the city. Each subject unit runs for one semester and is equivalent to the subjects run at our Lilydale campus. All subjects belong to courses of the Australian College of Theology and are fully accredited, so they can count towards a undergraduate or graduate program if you choose.
Semester 2, 2008
This subject (along with Content & Setting of the Gospel Tradition) forms the foundation for advanced studies in the New Testament. This subject introduces you to the birth and expansion of the church according to the Acts of the Apostles against the cultural, religious and political background of the first century Greco-Roman world, and to the letters of the New Testament and the Apocalypse, their characteristics and major themes.
