Remco andJudy de Jong (2005) have been outsourced by MAF Holland to work with MAF Australia in Arnhem Land. Ryan Lane (2001) travelled to Thailand immediately after completing his Theology degree mid-2001, and spent six months on the Thai - Burma border working among Burmese displaced persons. The work focussed on teaching English to Burmese pro-democracy activists and also teaching a two week course on the Gospel of Mark in a theological seminary established in one of the many Karen refugee camps (Kawthoolei Karen Baptist Bible College - Mae La Refugee Camp) dotted along the Thai Burma border. He returned to Australia in early 2002 and began a Masters in Asian Studies at Victoria University.
In early 2005 he moved up to Canberra to work with the Department of Immigration and was the Middle East and Africa desk officer in the Department's International Cooperation Branch, working mainly in international policy and capacity building projects, until transferring to the Department's Humanitarian Branch, which manages the Refugee and Humanitarian Programs.

(2002) are in PNG as Methodist Mission Partners, seconded to SIL-PNG for a three year term. In their newsletter, they write that John is back in the hangar working on planes and helicopters while Jenny is working half-time at the SIL Clinic as the dental administrative assistant, running a ladies craft group one morning a week and the 7th Grade Girls Bible Study every Wednesday evening. (September 2006) (2002) and Kath Horton have settled well into Yirrkala, Arnhem Land. David is enjoying his work in the hanger, finding the work challenging because he is learning new things every day. It is satisfying for him to see the results of each day’s work, as the planes leave the hanger after maintenance and go straight back to work carrying people and goods to and from communities all around east Arnhem Land. Kath is kept busy at home with their two toddlers as well as home schooling Angus. She does, however, find time to attend a prayer meeting, which includes both European and Yolngu women. She writes that she is keen to get to know some local women so this bible study is a good opportunity. They are expecting their fourth child in early October.
