Terms of Occupancy:
1 (a) Single Students Residential Fees includes residence and meals (excluding Sat & Sun lunches, and Sat Dinner) during semester and residence only during the mid-semester holidays = total period of 37 weeks per year. Where necessary, accommodation for single students out of semester time (mid-year & end of year holidays) can normally be arranged on campus. (See Other Charges 2008).
All single students must sign a rental agreement (available from the Dean of Students) and pay a $100 refundable bond on enrolment day. A new rental agreement will be needed for each semester on campus but the bond will carry over. Rental of single units is on a semester basis. Any variation or break of contractual commitment will need to have extenuating circumstances and agreed to by the Dean of Students.
(b) Married Couples Residential Fees includes residence and meals (excluding Sat & Sun lunches, and Sat Dinner) during semester and residence only during the mid-semester holidays and mid-year holidays = total period of 42 weeks (up to 30th November)

A new rental agreement will be needed for each semester on campus but the bond will carry over. Rental of married units is on a semester basis. Any other arrangements need to be discussed with the Dean of Students prior to moving in. Any variation or break of contractual commitment will need to have extenuating circumstances and be agreed to by the Dean of Students.

2. Sub-letting of any kind is not allowed (except for married units – only to current BCV single students - subject to approval by the Dean of Students).
3. Ancillary Heating (bar radiators etc.) is not permitted, except in cases of medical necessity, as all units are adequately centrally heated. Permission must be obtained from the Dean of Students, and payment of a nominal charge made to the Accountant.
4. Other electrical appliances (e.g. washing machines, dishwashers, etc.) must not be connected without the approval of the Dean of Students. A nominal charge will be made to cover the extra costs involved.

Vacation Charges for Students:
Single - Rent included in fees for Easter and September breaks. Rooms must normally be vacated for mid-year and summer holiday except for students with extended tenancies or where permission given – $80 per week or $15 per night (room only). Where students need to stay on campus every effort will be made to meet these needs.
Married - Rent included in fees for the short vacations during the year, and up to November 30. Long vacation period $100 per week or $17 per night. Couples may sublet units to existing BCV single students subject to approval by the Dean of Students.
Families - No charge – year rent included in fees. Departure by 31st December.
Washing machines and driers are available on a user pay basis (coin operated). Costs are nominal to cover power and replacement.
