Mission

The Bible College of Victoria provides a threefold equipping of those who sense the Lord's call to service and mission. This biblically based approach integrates knowing God, particularly through the study of His Word, becoming like Jesus Christ, and developing practical skills for serving God in the Church, the community and among the unreached peoples of the world.

• KNOWING God through His Word. The central emphasis on the trustworthiness of the Bible demands total commitment in careful study of the Word of God. This impacts our personal knowledge of God and our daily obedience to Him in life and work.
   
• BECOMING like Jesus Christ involves growth in Christian character and maturity, becoming Spirit-filled people of integrity, compassion, faith, vision and power. BCV offers the unique opportunity of living in Christian community, where we learn the importance of discipleship, holy living, and interpersonal relationships in the Body of Christ.
   
• SERVING God in the church and the world. BCV seeks to equip students who will glorify Christ in faithful and fruitful ministry, developing spiritual gifts for building up the Church, serving in daily vocations, meeting the needs of our communities and proclaiming the Gospel to unreached people. Consequently the application of truth to life is emphasized, and supervised ministry experience is an integral part of training. Faithfulness to the Scriptures is held in partnership with relevant communication and service. Bible College training is a comprehensive experience including intellectual challenge, spiritual growth, warm fellowship, and practical application that prepares for a life of Christian service.
